In accordance with the annual tradition of Wesley Girls’ High School, the entire school paused to commemorate the life and works of its dearest matriarch; Ms Olive Compton. The celebration was held in the morning on 21st May, 2015.
Capably organized by Compton House, a play was staged on the true meaning of Love and Sacrifice (the theme of Olive Compton’s Day). Odes were recited in Ms Compton’s honor, as well as beautiful songs rendered by the Form One girls of Compton house.
The Headmistress gave a brief historical account of the strong-willed lady, who is behind the architectural design of the school (HMS Excellence). She also encouraged students to catch the “FLU” of Friendship, Love and Unity.
In bright spirits throughout the day, girls wore their blue chapel attire for lessons and exchanged goodwill messages and notes, smiles and hugs. Long live the legacy of O.C the Great.
