All said and done, the school’s celebration of its 180th milestone came to a triumphant dénouement on Sunday, 12th February, 2017. Clad in white, the ancient and modern old girls, together with the student body accompanied Mrs. Betty Djokoto to the altar of worship to offer their profound gratitude to God for a successful 180th anniversary celebration.
Preaching on the theme, “Celebrating the Goodness of the Lord”, Mrs. Juliana Adu-Gyamfi of the 1974 year group admonished all present to celebrate God’s goodness by recounting past victories. By so doing, we will have a cause to celebrate Him.
In attendance was Jerbette’s Production which thrilled the congregation with renditions of gospel songs.
A special personality graced the occasion with her presence. The oldest girl at the gathering, Madam Gracia of the 1953 year group was made to share some experiences. Afterwards came the memorable moments where she took pictures with her students.
Being her last Speech and Prize Giving Day Thanksgiving Service before taking a bow, it was an emotional moment as Mrs. Betty Djokoto expressed her gratitude to all who stood by her and contributed to her success story, notwithstanding how imperceptible it may have seemed.
Sunday, 12th February 2017 saw the drawing of the curtains on the 180th anniversary celebrations in grandeur.
